Community United Church of Christ is a small brick church that was built in the late 1950’s. With an open beam ceiling over the front part of the sanctuary and a low flat ceiling in the rear, existing lighting consisted of fluorescent shop lights in the back and attractive but ineffective incandescent pendant lights hanging from the ceiling in the front section of the sanctuary. A preassessment of the existing foot candle distribution revealed a light range from 2 fc to over 30fc. Atlantec took on the challenge of recommending appropriate lighting changes that would: · Create even lighting throughout the sanctuary; · Use energy-efficient, aesthetically pleasing fixtures; · Finding a contractor that would work to not disrupt the schedule of our congregation as little as possible; and · Would stay within our budget.
“The work is complete, and the congregation is thrilled with the leadership provided by Atlantec and the work completed by Brother’s electric. The installation was completed by a highly skilled team. We welcome visitors to come take a look!”
